QIPP Program

Nursing Home QIPP Program 

In the first year of the QIPP (Quality Incentive Payment Program) Teri Ecker-Sheddy served as the Program Director for 25 Nursing homes around the Dallas area, which continued into Year 2 of the QIPP Program. Plans are now in process for the 3rd year of the QIPP Program for both Government (NSGO) and Privately participating homes.

NSGO/Hospital District Relations

  • EHS makes monthly reports to the Hospital Districts/NSGO Board of Directors.  
  • Ecker’s staff monitors all communications from Health and Human Services and is responsible for the time-sensitive transfer of the Intergovernmental funds to HHSC through the IGT.  
  • EHS works with the management companies’ submission of Medicaid Cost Reports, Managed Care Organizations agreements and contracts, Banking Authorizations and License renewals and applications.  ​​

                                                     GOALS
Provide education and hands-on support to the nursing home, management companies and owners related to:

COMPLIANCE
  •  ​Assist with regulations surrounding the nursing home industry and any government subsidy program the nursing home and its management is involved in.
FINANCING
  • Assist with financing associated with government and 3rd party programs that subsidize nursing homes
ACCOUNTNG AND BANKING
  • Oversee all accounting of nursing home accounts held by a Governmental Entity (NSGO)
PARTNERSHIP
  • Act as a liaison between NSGO and skilled nursing homes and their management that seeks involvement in government subsidized programs.
  • Establish a working relationship with both the Governmental Entity and the Private Nursing Home Management Companies to maximize a relationship of partnership as evidenced by the mutual success of both parties.  This is accomplished by regular visits and being readily available to the nursing homes, the NSGO Board Meetings and cooperating with the needs of each.
  • Act as a Program Director to assist the Nursing Home and its Management with Cost Reporting, Contractual obligations, transfer of intergovernmental transfers and distribution of payments while providing written reports to the NSGO’s and the Nursing Home Management to maximize the success of the nursing home in care and compliance, Ecker will develop a relationship through education and problem solving which includes regular visits to the nursing home and being available by phone and email.  The success of the nursing home is measurable through the return on the goals of the program and improved care to the residents.
 TRAINING AND EDUCATION
  • Ecker Health Service will access all necessary continuing education for its personnel.  They will recruit and train their personnel to meet the needs of the nursing homes, its management and Governmental entity in compliance of Programs in the nursing home in order to assure maximum return to the nursing home and the Governmental Entity.
  • Ecker Health will educate all involved in the changing demands of said programs by keeping the nursing home administration aware of such changes and assisting them to understand how the day to day operations and care of the residents are affected by and connected to the success of the program.
  • To meet the changing demands of governmental requirements, Ecker Health will keep itself abreast of changes and make those changes available to all involved in a timely manner.
